EnviroCompétences

Sectoral workforce committee for the environment

EnviroCompétences is the sectoral workforce committee for the environment and one of 29 sectoral committees in Quebec.

The 29 sectoral workforce committees (CSMOs) are valuable allies of the Quebec government and other partners for strategic and operational understanding of the labour market. Led by representatives of each employment sector, they are a real conduit for information on the realities of employment and their skills development needs. Since 1995, the Government of Quebec has chosen sectoral intervention because it wants to take advantage of the commitment of employers, unions, and professional associations to establish, in a concerted manner, a vision of the future of the labour market that reflects the particularities of the sectors of activity. Cooperation is the key to the active role that the CSMO expects them to play as users and relays for the dissemination of solutions and actions intended for the world of work’s clienteles: other employers, workers, and sector experts.
