Expert in carbon finance, climate policies and GHG management, David is first and foremost an entrepreneur passionate about innovation and strongly driven by humanist and environmental values. He uses his expertise at the technical, commercial, and financial levels to propel climate solutions and create positive impacts for communities. He has accumulated entrepreneurial projects in the fields of digital technologies, e-commerce, energy, and consulting and has held executive positions for companies with high growth potential.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke and an MBA from Concordia University. He has taught entrepreneurship and acts as a mentor and advisor in cleantech start-ups incubators and accelerators.

Since 2007, he uses carbon markets mechanisms to finance technological GHG reduction and removal projects and to enhance natural capital and ecosystems. He has advised companies in all industrial sectors on the development of compliance strategies for regulated carbon pricing mechanisms and has greatly contributed to structuring the Canadian voluntary carbon market.

He also co-founded NEL-i, a strategic and climate consultancy that supports companies, institutions, and governments across various jurisdictions in developing a climate action plan (CAP) to achieve net-zero emissions. It also provides technical, commercial, and financial advisory services to climate solutions developers.
