The Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie is a company launched in June 2023 whose mandate is the development and operation of plants and companies with expertise in the field of bioenergy. The Fonds Bioénergie contributes to the Quebec economy through strategic investments and equity stakes in projects where it plays the role of owner-operator.
The intention behind the creation of the Fonds Bioénergie is to accelerate the growth of the bioenergy sector in Quebec, starting with the development of biomethanization projects on a human-scale.
In a context of climate change, the Fonds Bioénergie aims to get projects off the ground and contribute to Quebec’s economic development, while reducing GHG’s and promoting the energy transition.
